Our Legacy
The Journey That Started It All
In 2019, Fambul Tik organized the largest documented Gullah Geechee heritage journey to Sierra Leone in modern history. The story was captured by South Carolina ETV in the Gullah Roots documentary. Two of those participants became investors in the Eco-Living Oasis you are invited to see open in 2026.

Kent is not a random location. The Kent peninsula is a historically significant Krio settlement — home to freed slaves who returned to the shores of West Africa and rebuilt their lives. It sits along the same Atlantic coastline from which enslaved Africans were taken.
In 2019, two participants from our historic Gullah Geechee tour were so moved by the journey that they invested in Sierra Leone itself. Their investment, combined with Fambul Tik's vision and TpGroup Sierra Leone's expertise, created The Eco-Living Oasis — a sustainable vacation community built from the very soil of Sierra Leone.
What started as a heritage tour became an investment in the land our ancestors left behind.Join the Opening Ceremony
